Special Projects Coordinator

The Special Projects Coordinator role is targeted to individuals who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and who thrive in a fast-paced environment.  The chosen individual will have the opportunity to be mentored by executive level leaders and learn all facets of running a small to medium sized company.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance and support to the leadership team, specifically the President and General Manager

  • Take ownership and complete special projects, as assigned, while building rapport with fellow team members, customers, and service providers.

  • Support various needs across the organization, which contribute to the efficient operations within company, including Accounting, Administration, Human Resources, IT, Purchasing, Legal, etc.

  • Help develop corporate structure, write policies and procedures, assist with ISO

  • Order computers, complete new phone set up, provide basic IT support, oversee office security system

  • Create weekly customer status update reports

  • Assist with the completion of Government reports

  • Assist with recruiting and support onboarding activities for new hires

  • Support planning and organizing team activities and events

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in office administration or business related role

  • Relevant post-secondary education in business administration or similar discipline

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Apps

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Intrinsically motivated, team player, able to execute with minimal guidance

  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A quick, creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements

  • Strong sense of discretion and professionalism

  • Ability to overcome challenges with patience, creativity, and perseverance

  • Driver’s License with vehicle
